The fine print, in plain sightplain Englishblack & whitethe openbroad daylight.

This disclaimer exists so you can read every report knowing exactly what it is — careful, general education about money — and exactly what it is not. Short version: I teach the map; I don't drive your car.

the map, never the car

signed, the management — read on; the obligations are spelled out below.

this is

General money education
Modelled illustrations, global in nature
Reasoning you can check line by line

this is not

Personal investment advice
Stock tips or recommendations
An offer to buy or sell anything

your money moves only on your own signature.

the golden rules

Nothing here is personalised
Past performance never guarantees the future
Every illustration runs on stated assumptions

when in doubt, ask a licensed professional near you.

before you act

Check the numbers yourself
Match ideas to your own goals
Decide with your own signature, not mine

Please read before proceeding

This disclaimer governs your use of Daily Yield and its content. By continuing, you acknowledge that you have read and understood it.

The 20-second version
  1. Everything here is education — general, careful, and never about your specific file.
  2. Reading, subscribing or commenting creates no adviser relationship of any kind.
  3. Numbers drift — every report carries its date; check it before you trust it.
  4. Markets can and do lose money; past performance predicts very little.
  5. If a report helps you act, act through a licensed professional who can be held accountable.

Educational content only

Everything here is general information and analysis for learning. It is not investment, tax, legal or accounting advice for your specific situation.

No advisor relationship

Reading this blog, subscribing, or contacting me does not create a client, fiduciary or professional relationship of any kind.

Markets carry risk

Past performance never guarantees future results. Any investment can lose value — including the ones discussed here.

§ 01

Purpose of this blog

Daily Yield publishes research-led educational writing on personal finance, investing and money psychology. Content is prepared with reasonable care and is general in nature — it cannot and does not consider your objectives, financial situation or needs. Everything here is created solely for educational, informational and entertainment purposes — it is not professional financial, investment, legal or tax advice.

Nothing on this blog is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security, product or scheme.
This disclaimer governs your use of the journal — articles, guides, newsletters and tools. By continuing to read, you acknowledge that you have read and understood it.
§ 02

No personal advice

I am a Certified Accountant, but on this blog I am a writer — not your accountant, tax adviser or investment adviser. No professional relationship is created by reading, subscribing or commenting. Before acting on anything here, consult a qualified professional who can see your complete picture and is accountable for it.

  • Tax rules, interest rates and product features change — often silently.
  • Worked examples use illustrative numbers, not predictions.
  • What suits one balance sheet can be entirely wrong for the next one.

To be exact about credentials: this desk is not a CFP, a registered investment adviser or a licensed broker — and no professional-client or fiduciary relationship is created through any channel, comments, email or social media included.

§ 03

Accuracy & dates

Facts are checked against sources believed reliable at publication. Reports are dated; the further a report is from today, the more its numbers may have drifted. Corrections, when needed, are made openly with a dated note at the end of the piece.

§ 04

Market risk

Investing involves risk, including possible loss of principal. Diversification, horizon and behaviour matter more than any single decision discussed here. Never invest borrowed money, and never invest an amount whose loss would change your life.

01Conduct your own thorough research
02Assess your personal risk tolerance & finances
03Consult a licensed professional or certified accountant
§ 05

Red flags to watch — anywhere

  • ✕Guaranteed returns. Markets offer probabilities, never guarantees.
  • ✕Urgency. "This week only" is a sales tactic, not a market condition.
  • ✕Secrets. Genuine edge rarely needs to be whispered in a DM.
  • ✕Unregistered "advisers". Verify credentials before you verify their track record.
§ 06

Sponsorships & affiliates

No paid reviews. No paid links. If a collaboration ever appears on this blog, it will be disclosed clearly at the top of the piece, and editorial conclusions will remain independent — the report may be commissioned, never the verdict.

§ 07

External links & embedded content

Reports may link to external websites — data sources, official documents, tools and videos — and may embed charts or media from third parties. Those sites operate under their own terms and privacy practices; no responsibility is taken for their content, accuracy or availability.

An external link is a citation, never an endorsement of everything the destination may publish today or tomorrow.

§ 08

Limitation of liability

By using this journal you agree that the owner, author and affiliates are not liable for any financial losses, damages or negative outcomes resulting directly or indirectly from the use of, reliance on, or inability to use the information published here.

You assume full responsibility for every financial decision you make. The working is shared so you can check it — the decision, and its outcome, remain yours.
§ 09

Jurisdiction

Content is written for a global readership but the author is based in India; examples use Indian and international data. Rules differ by country and by person. This disclaimer is governed by Indian law; nothing here constitutes legal advice for any jurisdiction.

Risk reality

Markets move. Decisions are yours.

Personal finance and investing involve significant risk. Past performance of any strategy or investment vehicle is not a guarantee or indicator of future results. Market conditions can change rapidly. Before making any financial decision, budgeting change, or investment choice, you should:

  1. 1Conduct your own thorough research.
  2. 2Assess your personal risk tolerance and financial situation.
  3. 3Consult a qualified, licensed financial professional or certified accountant.
Using financial models responsibly

Make the assumptions do some work.

A useful scenario is not the same as a forecast or a professional opinion.

01Check the definitions.Nominal versus real returns, margins versus markups, market FX versus purchasing power, and gross versus net cash flows are different things.
02Test an adverse case.Try higher costs, lower returns, slower sales or a longer delay. Smooth compounding is not a model of every market path.
03Verify before acting.Confirm official rules, instrument details and provider terms. Obtain individual professional help where appropriate.
Using a tool, reading a CA-branded page or sending an enquiry does not create a professional-client relationship. The decorative stamp is branding, not a regulatory certification. Nothing here excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Three myths, gently flipped.

Myth ✕

“A finance writer's word is advice.”

flip for fact

Fact: even this one isn't. Real advice needs your files on the table and a signature on the line.

§ 02 in detail below
Myth ✕

“Great returns come from secret tips.”

flip for fact

Fact: they mostly come from time in the market, patience, and dodging expensive disasters.

Myth ✕

“Read a report once, and it's true forever.”

flip for fact

Fact: numbers drift and rules change silently. Revisit, recheck — then decide.
